Coffee mug
The cup is complete. It is cylindrical in shape. The wall is flared at the top, the rim is straight and the top is corrugated. The cup rests on an annular foot, in line with the wall; it is free of glaze. The bottom is recessed and flat. The glaze on the bottom, near its junction with the foot, has been wiped off. The cup is fitted with a vertical ear-shaped handle, folded down at the ends; its cross-section is oval; the decoration is molded and hand-painted; it is blue with gilding and floral motifs. The molded decoration is visible on the outer wall, and perceptible on the inner wall; it consists of twisted vertical flutes, from the foot to the rim (Fluted wrythen). The painted decoration is located below the inner rim; it consists of a wide horizontal band painted dark blue, with two alternating motifs painted in gold: a fleur-de-lys trimmed with fine branches and an oval pearl. The perimeter of the band, as well as the top of the rim, are outlined in gold; elongated pearls are painted in gilding below the band. The gilding on the top has partly disappeared. The decoration on the outer wall features two gold-painted motifs, a series of alternating leafy stems. The outer wall features two gilded fillets, near the rim and near the bottom. A plant motif has been painted in gold on the outside of the handle, and triangles made of superimposed lines have been painted on its ends.
