Coffee maker lid

The lid is complete. It is circular in shape. Its top is domed with a flat top. It has a central grip knob, flanked by a small circular hole whose inner wall is covered with glaze. It has a circular wing with an outward-sloping top and a flat underside. It has an annular collar that tapers slightly towards the bottom. The underside of the wing and the outer wall of the collar are free of glaze. The lower rim of the wing has been repaired with plaster; the decoration is molded, transfer printed and hand-painted; it is blue in color and features the Fence motif. The molded decoration is visible on the knob. The knob has been applied to the lid; it’s a stem with two leaves, applied directly in bas-relief to the lid; from the stem emerges a circular, sloping flower bud. The painted decoration is on the edge of the wing: it consists of two concentric rings. The printed decoration is visible on the top of the lid, and encloses the molded stem of the button. The main element of the decoration is a fence made of four non-aligned, cross-hatched sections. A rock borders the fence on its right. Leafy and flowering plant stems of varying scales extend on either side of the fence; they are cross-hatched.
