Champagne flute
The glass is complete. It is in two parts: the stem, which extends into a bowl, and the foot. The stem and bowl are elongated conical with a flat-topped rim. The stem is solid, cylindrical and straight, tapering towards the bottom. The foot is circular and thick. It has a straight profile with a conical plateau at the top; its rim is thick and straight. The underside has a flat, wide fulcrum, and the center of the underside of the foot features a central disk left by the pontil, a tool used by the glassmaker to make the glass. The decoration is located between the disc and the rim. The glass is tinted mauve. The decoration is cut and molded. The cut decoration is visible on the lower part of the bowl, as is the stem: it consists of vertical sections with an ogival top. The molded decoration is visible under the foot: it consists of radiating grooves.
