Business card
Black and white portrait photograph of John Wilson (1807-1869), lawyer, judge and politician. He helped organize local resistance to the Upper Canada Rebellion and was appointed captain in the militia in 1838. He was elected to the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Canada in a by-election in 1847 as a Conservative, and re-elected in 1848 and 1854. In 1856, Wilson was appointed Queen’s Counsel.
