Black and white photograph of Thomas Edmund Campbell (1809-1872). Major Thomas Edmund Campbell, C. B., came to Canada as a British military officer, where he became a political figure and seigneur who contributed greatly to the development of Rouville, Quebec. He built the Manoir Rouville-Campbell and was a prominent member of the Montreal Hunt. In the photo, he is seated in an armchair, reading a document.
