Box
Small oval box in spruce wood painted ochre. The wall is made of a thin sheet of wood (1-1.5mm) folded over itself to give an oval shape. The two ends of the sheet overlap and are sewn together with two parallel vertical rows of fine cordage. The lid and wall are joined to the base using small square wooden dowels (six for the base). For the lid, some of the dowels have been replaced by small nails. You can feel the grooves of the planer on the surfaces of the lid and base. The lid fits perfectly into the body of the box.
