Box

Oval box and lid decorated with compass-drawn geometric motifs (two six-pointed rosettes and four ovals). Two repeating motifs under the base. The wall is made of a thin sheet of wood (1-1.5mm) folded on itself. The two ends of the sheet overlap and are sewn together with two parallel vertical rows of fine cordage. The wall of the box body, split horizontally in its lower third, has been skilfully repaired with seven wire pins. The lid and wall are assembled with small rectangular wooden dowels (9 for the lid and 10 for the base). The lid fits perfectly into the body of the box. Planer grooves.
