Bottle
The bottle is complete. It is cylindrical in shape, with a slightly flared wall at the top and a rounded shoulder. The neck is cylindrical and slightly constricted at mid-height. The neck has a swollen lip with a flat top. The base of the wall is swollen and the bottom is almost flat. The body is gray in color, covered with a dark-brown ferrous coating and a salt glaze, giving it a shiny appearance. There is a colorless liquid glaze inside the container, which has dripped onto the neck. The lower part of the wall features an oval cartouche with an intaglio mark in two registers, while the center is free: * J. STIFF & SONS * LAMBETH. There are slight flaws in the glaze on the top and under the bottom ; none, except for the dark brown coating that covers the entire surface of the bottle; the salt glaze lends a shiny appearance to the surface.
