Blackening bottle

The bottle is complete, except for a small chip on the rim. It is cylindrical in shape, with an angular, conical shoulder; the neck is cylindrical and flares out at the top, with a slightly domed top. The base is slightly beveled. The base is domed. The body is pale gray in color, covered with a brown ferrous coating and a salt glaze, giving it a shiny appearance in places. The wall and base are flawed in various places. There is an intaglio mark on the lower part of the wall in three registers, the first of which is arched: BLACKING BOTTLE 3 J.B.D . ; There is a small annular groove at the base of the neck. Nothing else, except for the brown coating that covers the entire surface of the container, as well as the underside of the bottom; the salt glaze gives a shiny appearance to a small portion of the surface.
