Blackening bottle

The bottle is complete, except for a small chip on the rim. It is cylindrical in shape, with an angular, conical shoulder; the neck is cylindrical and flares out at the top, with a slightly domed top. The base is slightly beveled. The base is slightly domed. The body is pale gray in color, covered with a brown ferrous coating and a salt glaze, giving it a shiny appearance in places. The wall and base are flawed in various places. There are drops of liquid glaze on the top of the rim and on the neck. There is a mark made by intaglio printing on the lower part of the wall; it is incomplete and unevenly applied in two registers: (D)OULT(N) (L)AMBETH. ; There is a small annular groove made on the top of the shoulder. Nothing else, apart from the brown coating that covers the entire surface of the container, as well as the underside of the base; the salt glaze lends a shiny appearance to a small portion of the surface.
