The dish is complete. It is rectangular and octagonal in shape. It has two handles, only one of which is preserved, and rests on an octagonal foot. The horizontal handles are located at the ends of the dish, in line with the axis of the rim. Of the same width as the end of the dish, they are rectangular in shape and recessed in the center, lengthwise; in cross-section, they are rectangular in cross-section, domed on the face. The base has two juxtaposed circular holes running right through it at its junction with the base. In cross-section, the dish has a flared wall topped by a flared wing with a plain contour. The lower part of the wall is curved and rests on a foot. The foot is flat and free of glaze. The bottom is recessed and flat. The body is pinkish-beige with quartz inclusions. The glaze is bluish-white. Two traces of linear beading are visible on the reverse. The enamel is missing around the rim and under the base. The left-hand handle, broken and missing, has been replaced by an iron rod of straight cross-section, with the ends bent at right angles and inserted into a hole drilled in the rim of the dish ; The decoration is hand-painted in two-tone on the inner wing and inner base; it is of the flower basket type. On the inner side, the decoration is traced and painted in two-tone blue underglaze and red overglaze; it is geometric and plant-like. It consists of a narrow braid traced in grayish blue and trimmed with two main sections and a third, shorter one, all repeated alternately. One of the main sections features plant elements in reserve on a blue background: two half-flowers between two scrolls, mirrored on either side of three central leaves; the leaves and half-flowers are adorned with small radiating strokes painted red. The other main section is composed of five rhombuses in a row, outlined in blue and trimmed with a latticework painted red. Between these two main sections is a third, consisting of a red-painted lattice. All are separated from each other by a vertical band painted blue, while the sides are in reserve. The background features a central flower basket surrounded by an angular rectangle. The rectangle is made up of two broad blue lines; the interior is adorned with staggered triangles made up of red lines. The basket is truncated cone-shaped, with a flat bottom and bulging rim; it is drawn in blue and filled with a latticework and vertical lines painted in red; the basket’s rendering imitates rattan. From the top of the basket emerges a central flower flanked by two flowers in a row, surrounded by leafy plant stems and grapes. All these elements are traced and painted in blue, with the exception of two leaves painted in red; the flowers are partially filled with radiating lines traced in red. The central flower serves as a dividing line between the two areas on either side of this axis, whose elements are mirrored. The basket rests on a kind of ironwork-like support, consisting of a horizontal rectangular stem that links scrolls that continue into acanthus leaves curved upwards and arranged in mirror image, each featuring three small curved plant stems traced in red with blue-painted buds. The center of the support features a plant motif with a pearl pointing downwards, traced and painted in blue with a red-painted center. Two curved plant stems emerge, traced in red with blue-painted buds. The two volutes are joined by a hanging drapery, traced in blue, painted pale blue with red highlights, and trimmed with a fringe traced in red. From this drapery emerge two acanthus leaves, curved upwards and arranged in a mirror-like fashion, framing a pearl. These elements are drawn and painted blue, while the pearl is painted red. The surface of the preserved handle is decorated with a motif identical to that of the background, namely a frame of broad blue lines, the inside of which is decorated with staggered triangles of red lines. The enamel and decoration on the wing are flawed in a few places.
