Arrow belt
L’Assomption” style arrow belt, with lightning bolt motifs, made of 14 corridors. The belt is made of red, white, blue, yellow and green wool. The colors seem to come from natural and synthetic dyes. The bangs are very long, with braids and twists.

Historical context
Les corridors correspondent aux rangs de couleurs et sont comptés à partir du centre de la ceinture. Ici au nombre de 14, ils indiquent une pièce relativement large, probablement confectionnée à des fins d’apparat. De fait, plus les dimensions d’une ceinture sont importantes, plus celle-ci confère du prestige à son détenteur.
