Arrow belt
Flame-patterned arrow belt, wool, multicolored. It has 13 corridors. Its colors are probably derived from natural and synthetic dyes. Its base, from which the bangs extend, is sewn. The belt is badly damaged in places.

Historical context
Arrow belts, created by French Canadians in the 2nd half of the 18th century, became a cultural symbol in Quebec. Between 1830 and 1880, fur-trading companies commissioned Quebec craftswomen to produce them, so that they could be traded with certain aboriginal nations.
