Arrow belt
L’Assomption” style arrow belt with lightning bolt motif, made of 13 corridors. The belt is made of red, white, yellow, green and blue wool, the colors of which appear to be derived from natural and synthetic dyes. Drops of candle wax are visible in places.

Historical context
The colors of this arrowed belt suggest the use of synthetic and natural dyes in wool manufacture. The faded blue (light blue) is a characteristic of natural dyes.
