Arrow belt
L’Assomption” style arrow belt with lightning bolt motif, made of 13 corridors. The belt is made of red, white, blue, yellow and green wool, the colors of which seem to be derived from synthetic dyes. One end is embroidered.

Historical context
With its bright colors, this belt probably dates from the 1930s. In fact, although synthetic dyes have been in use since the second half of the 19th century, it was not until this period that they were truly mastered and replaced natural dyes. The embroidered symbol refers to the wearer of the belt, not the craftsman.
